Statement of Faith
Mountain Hope Counseling & The Ballistic Faith Brotherhood
OUR FOUNDATION Mountain Hope Counsleing and The Ballistic Faith Brotherhood exists to call men out of isolation, passivity, fear, shame, addiction, and spiritual compromise into authentic brotherhood, surrender to Christ, and courageous biblical manhood.
We believe men were not created to drift through life disconnected from God, emotionally absent, spiritually weak, or enslaved to sin. We believe God calls men to become spiritually grounded, humble, obedient, loving, and strong through the transforming power of Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit..
Our mission is not simply to inspire men emotionally, but to equip them spiritually, challenge them biblically, strengthen them relationally, and train them to walk faithfully with Christ in their homes, marriages, churches, and communities and most importantly with other Men!
WHAT WE BELIEVE:
The Authority of Scripture
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and breathed Word of God, fully trustworthy and authoritative in all matters of faith, truth, doctrine, morality, and life.“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV)
We believe Scripture is not merely information to study but truth to obey. God’s Word reveals His character, exposes sin, transforms hearts, renews minds, and equips believers to walk in holiness and maturity.
God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father is Creator, Sustainer, holy, sovereign, loving, just, and merciful. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, crucified for our sins, resurrected bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and returning again in glory. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, empowers holy living, transforms hearts, equips the Church, and glorifies Christ.
THE NICENE CREED
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father [and the Son]. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
SALVATION
We believe salvation comes by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. No man can earn salvation through works, morality, religious performance, church attendance, ministry involvement, or self-effort.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9 (NIV)
We believe Jesus Christ alone is the way to reconciliation with God through His death, burial, and resurrection.
ASSURANCE & ENDURANCE OF FAITH
We believe genuine salvation produces a transformed life marked by repentance, surrender, obedience, and perseverance in Christ. We do not hold to the phrase “Once Saved Always Saved” as permission for passive, Lukewarm or unchanged living. Rather, we believe:“IF SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED.”
True salvation produces “Evidence of Salvation” and ongoing fruit, growth, conviction, repentance, and perseverance through the power of God. A man who genuinely belongs to Christ will not live in perfect sinlessness, but neither will he remain comfortably surrendered to rebellion without conviction or transformation.
We believe saving faith changes a man.
WORSHIP: We believe worship is Warfare and should glorify Jesus Christ rather than elevate personalities, platforms, or performance.
We believe worship is far more than music or gatherings. Worship is the surrender of the whole life to God.
Biblical worship includes
obedience
humility
repentance
prayer
holiness
gratitude
service
surrender
reverence
truth
PRAYER: What we do with Prayer speaks Loudly about what we Believe about Prayer
We believe prayer is essential to the life of every believer and every ministry. Prayer is not weakness—it is dependence upon God. We believe men must be trained to pray personally, honestly, boldly, and consistently for themselves, their marriages, families, churches, and communities.
We believe prayer invites surrender, exposes pride, strengthens faith, cultivates intimacy with God, and aligns the heart with His will.
MEN, BROTHERHOOD & DISCIPLESHIP
We believe men were never designed to walk alone.Isolation breeds shame, secrecy, addiction, passivity, fear, and spiritual collapse. God calls men into biblical brotherhood where truth, accountability, encouragement, humility, and spiritual growth can flourish. We believe Christian men are called to Write the next Book of Acts:
pursue holiness
lead their homes spiritually
love sacrificially
repent humbly
fight sin seriously
know and obey Scripture
disciple other men
serve the Church faithfully
walk in integrity
stand firm in truth and grace
